Halloween Water Marble

''Movies don't create psychos, movies make psychos more creative.''
-Scream

I decided to use a quote from my favorite scary movie. :] I painted my nails with China Glaze Riveting. Then, I water marbled China Glaze Riveting and Nina Salon Pro black.

Halloween Kitty!

The Monster Mash

''Where there is no imagination, there is no horror.''
-Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

I painted my nails with China Glaze Gaga For Green and painted China Glaze Ghoulish Glow over it. I used a black Stripe Rite to make the stitches. This is an easy, fun Halloween design anyone can do. Enjoy!

I'm Walking Into Spiderwebs

Just some spiderwebs drawn over Finger Paints Where Art Renoir? I get No Doubt stuck in my head whenever I look at these. :P

Loud! Shock Wave

This is one of my favorite polishes to use around Halloween. I wish I knew more about this brand. All I really know is that it's probably almost as old as I am. Despite being so old, it's still really thin and goes on easily. This is three coats over China Glaze Liquid Leather.

Cast A Spell

''Fear the unformed.''
-Stephen King

Basically, in a nutshell, this is China Glaze Cast A Spell.

Crooked Candy

''Life and death are meaningless and pain is god.''
-House of 1,000 Corpses

This could have turned out way better but I only had the light of The Devils Rejects. I painted my nails white and taped them off using China Glaze Solar Power and China Glaze Riveting. I used a black Stripe Rite to outline it.

Something Wicked This Way Comes

''Truly great madness cannot be achieved without significant intelligence.''
-Henrik Tikknen

First, I painted my nails with China Glaze Haunting. On my ring fingers, I used China Glaze Solar Power to make a moon. I used a silver Stripe Rite to make wispy clouds on my nails and around the moon. I used a black Stripe Rite to make a witch flying on her broom. I finished it all off with China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat.

It's Terror Time Again

''We are fascinated by the darkness in ourselves, we are fascinated by the shadow, we are fascinated by the boogeyman.''
-Anthony Hopkins

I started off by alternating China Glaze Gaga For Green and China Glaze Flying Dragon. This reminded me of Scooby-Doo so that's where the name came from. Then I used China Glaze Fairy Dust. I made some little ghosts and put them on my thumbs and ring fingers. Enjoy!

Pet Sematary

''Monsters are real, ghosts are real, they live inside us and sometimes they win.''
-Stephen King

I decided to do Pet Sematary nails. I started off by painting my nails with China Glaze IIV, and  my ring fingers with China Glaze Solar Power. I sponged a little bit of Gaga For Green with the yellow and used a black Stripe Rite for the pupil of the cat eye. On the rest, I used China Glaze Immortal for the graves of the pets.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show Nails

'' Give yourself over to absolute pleasure,
swim the warm waters of sins of the flesh,
erotic nightmares beyond any measure,
and sensual daydreams to treasure forever.''
-The Rocky Horror Picture Show

This movie is my favorite, I wouldn't have known about it if it wasn't for my best friend. She watched it and said it was the perfect movie for me. She got it for me on my birthday two years ago,she was right(as usual), I loved it!
I started off by painting my middle fingers with China Glaze Salsa, on the rest, I used Nina Salon Pro Black. On, my thumbs I used a dotting tool and China Glaze White On White to make a necklace like the sweet transvestite wears. On my pointers, I used a red Stripe Rite to make an ''R'' and an ''H'' to represent Rocky Horror. On my middle fingers, I used a red and black Stripe Rite to make a corset. On my ring fingers was the hard part, I made a pair of lips. On my pinkies, I made a ''P'' and an ''S'' to represent Picture Show. Enjoy!

This is my t-shirt, movie and soundtrack.

Very Superstitious Writing On The Wall

"That which is dead...cannot eternal lie
With Strange Aeons...even death may die."
-Mortuary

I decided to try newspaper nails. I painted my nails with China Glaze White On White. I overlapped the words to give it a spooky effect.

Black Widow Water Marble

I'd like to start off by saying this is definitely one of those manicures that looked way better in your head than on your nails. I debated posting this because I dislike it so badly.
For the nails that are water marbled, I painted a base of China Glaze Hey Sailor. Then, I marbled them using CG Ruby Pumps, CG Liquid Leather, and CG Icicle. I'm not sure what I was thinking water marbling with a thick glitter like Ruby Pumps. It was SO hard to work with. But surprisingly, this is a lot better than my previous water marbling attempts haha.
For my ring fingers, I painted them with Liquid Leather. Then, taped the outline of an hourglass. Next, I painted over it with a coat of Hey Sailor followed by a coat of Ruby Pumps.
Finally, I finished off all my nails with a thick coat of Seche Vite.

''It's All Right There In Black And White''

''Sleep, those little slices of death, how I loathe them.''
- Edgar Allan Poe

I decided to try my hand at spun sugar nails. I used black and white to give it a Tim Burton/Halloween vibe. I used Nina Salon Pro Black and China Glaze White On White. Enjoy!

This Is Halloween

''It is not hands that call us, it is desire.''
- Hellraiser

I love the song This Is Halloween, the Marilyn Manson version. I started off by painting my nails with China Glaze Haunting to resemble a starry night sky. Then I used China Glaze White On White and China Glaze Riveting on the tips to make pumpkins. I used a black Stripe Rite to make the faces and stems, and a glittery green Stripe Rite for the vines. I finished it all off with China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat. More Halloween nails coming soon!

Step Into My Web

''Prick your finger it is done, the moon has now eclipsed the sun, the angel has spread its wings, the time  has come for bitter things.''
- Mariyn Manson

My cousin Stephanie saw my spun sugar nails so I decided to hook her up with a Halloween design. I painted her ring fingers with China Glaze Riveting, I used Nina Salon Pro Black on her other nails. I painted spiders on her ring fingers and I used China Glaze White On White and did spun sugar on the rest. Enjoy!

Wicked Immortals

Call Of The Zombie
And out of the darkness the zombie did call,
true pain and suffering he brought to them all,
away went the children to hide in their beds,
in fear that the devil would chop off their heads.
- Rob Zombie

I painted China Glaze Immortal on my nails which is an amazing gray with a hint of blue, purple, and silver glitters. Then, I used China Glaze Make A Spectacle which reminds me of China Glaze Snow Globe. I bought Make A Spectacle for two reasons, number one, I'm almost out of Snow Globe, reason number two, I have a glitter addiction. These two polishes are very pretty and I think they go well together. I'm very impressed with the China Glaze 2012 Halloween collection.

Running From This Nightmare

''Do you know the terror of he who falls asleep? To the very toes he is terrified, because the ground gives way under him, and the dream begins.''
- Friedrich Nietzsche

Anyone that knows me, knows that I love quotes, I love Halloween and this time of year so I have plenty of quotes for posts. :] I decided to do Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare On Elm Street nails. I have all the movies except the newest one which I went to see with Brittany and a bunch of other friends. Since the dream stalker always wears a Christmas sweater, I painted my nails with China Glaze Watermelon Rhind. Then, using tape, I painted on stripes with China Glaze Salsa. I used China Glaze Matte Magic to take away all the shine. When Freddy bleeds, it's green so I splattered my nails with China Glaze Gaga For Green. Enjoy!

''One, two, Furby's coming for you.''
The new 2012 Furbies are awesome and totally worth the money. My cat hates it though. :]

Candy Corn Lasers

I have another Halloween manicure! I wanted to do something candy corn related, but I didn't want to do the generic candy corn nails. So decided to do candy corn lasers!
First, I sponged China Glaze White on White and Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow. I had to mix the orange using China Glaze Hey Sailor and some SH Mellow Yellow to get the right shade.

After that, I covered my nails randomly with strips of tape and painted them with China Glaze Liquid Leather.

Green Slime

Since it's October, it's finally time for Halloween nails! I always wanted to try a 'drip' manicure and I figured now was the perfect time. It is a little lumpy because both of the polishes I used are getting old and thick. But  I still really like it. I used Liquid Leather and In the Lime Light by China Glaze.

Matte Spun Sugar

This was my first attempt at doing a spun sugar manicure, so please excuse the mess it is lol. I think I made my lines too thick, and also too many of them. I'm not sure I like the texture of the finished design either.. It's extremely bumpy even after two coats of top coat plus matte top coat. That's really my fault for doing such thick lines, though.
Despite all the problems I had, I do want to try it again. Hopefully next time I'll get the hang of it.
The colors I used for this were Sally Hansen Gunmetal and China Glaze Electric Beat.

For this I used Pure Ice Love for the base. And over it I used Wet n' Wild Party of Five Glitters.
